The enemies of Ahlus Sunnah have made many false allegation upon Imam Ahmed Rida Khan [Rh]. One such allegation is that Imam Ahmed Rida showed disrespect to mother of the believers , Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa [Rd].
To examine this claim , first let us see the “proof” which Deobandis[ A sect of wahabism] have brought forward.
Deobandi posted the following scan.
Deobandi said
Here are the original scans of Hadaiq-e-Bakhshish, vol 3 p37. He basically says that Umm al-Mumineen [r.a] used to wear such tight clothing that it looked like they would… I can’t translate it. Have a have a third party translate lines 7-8.
Deobandi analysis of this scan.

but their mufti Mazharullah Khan dehelvi writes in his fatawa that A’la hazrat wrote these words bcoz he had “chilbili tabiyat”
also Moulana Saeed qadri wrote a chapter on his books about relationship or ahmad rada khan with prostitutes also other writers wrote stuff on this topic.

‘O believers! If any disobedient comes to you with any news make a strict inquiry lest you may hurt any people improperly then remain repenting on what you have done. ( 49: 6)
The scan provided by the Deobandi reads: , Hadaiq e Bakhshish
Vol 3 ( hissa som) and it says “compiled by” ( Murattib) Mehboob Ali Khan .
It also gives the author’s name as Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Radi Allahu ta’ala, which is sufficient to know that Imam Ahmed Raza was dead when this book was compiled and published.
It gives year of publication as 1325 AH.
Having seen these facts mentioned on scan , we will now see the truth of the matter.
Imam Ahmed Raza compiled his classical poetry work’ Hadaiq e Bakhshish” in two parts, and published it 1325 AH [ 1908 CE]
Imam Ahmed Raza died in 1340 AH [1921 CE]
Readers should notice that , the scan says Imam Ahmed Rida Khan Radi Allahu ta’ala , proving that Imam Ahmed Raza was dead when this vol 3 was compiled.
But the year on the cover page says that this vol 3 was published in 1325 AH , and Imam Ahmed Raza was very much alive in 1325 AH!
So what is the reason of mentioning Radi Allahu ta’ala ?
[ For beginners: Radi Allahu ta’ala is used for some one who is already dead]
Deobandis know this answer but they do not want to reveal the facts and they assume that a lay person will never notice these things!
The answer is , two years after the death of Imam Ahmed Raza , that is , in 1342 AH [ 1923 CE] , Mahboob Ali Khan collected different manuscripts of Imam Ahmed Raza’s work and gave it to Nabah steam press, Patiala , India , to be published . Since Imam Ahmed Raza was already dead , so Mahboob Ali Khan uses the word ‘Radi Allahu ta’ala’ and the first two volume of Hadaiq e Bakhshih was published in 1325 AH , that is why Mahboob Ali Khan gives the year as 1325 AH.
Imam Ahmed Raza Khan was already dead when Hadaiq e Bakhshish Vol 3 was published , so how he did “ tawba” as mentioned by Deobandis?

Imam Ahmed Raza never compiled hadaiq e bakhsish vol 3 and this is another slander upon him by wahabis.
Lets see further.
Mahboob Ali Khan gave different manuscripts of Imam Ahmed Raza to Nabah press, Patiala , India , who took the responsibility of compiling as well as publishing it.
The publisher [ knowingly or unknowingly] took couplets from two different manuscripts and the couplet which were written in regard to Umm Zara , was added to the poetry which was written in honour of Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa [Rd] .
Mahboob Ali Khan himself was a great poet and his works also used to be published.
The hadith of Umm Zara is mentioned in Bukhari, Muslim , Tirmidhi and Nasai.
Thirty two years after hadaqie e bakhshish vol 3 was published , that is , in
1374 AH [ 1955 CE] , Deobandis started this propogamda that Mahboob Ali Khan has shown disrespect to Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa Rd and due to this henious crime he no longer should lead the prayer in Jamia Masjid in Bombay.
Mufti e Azam Hind , Mawlana Mustafa Raza Khan writes :
“ As far as I remember Kazim Ali deobandi was the first to raise this issue publicly in a meeting at Kanpur”

The hadith
[ Sahih Muslim , On line english Translation , Book 31 , Hadith 5998…. THE HADITH is lengthy and ONLY THE LAST PART OF THE HADITH IS MENTIONED HERE , AS IT IS THE POINT OF DISCUSSION]
……..The eleventh one said: My husband is Abu Zara’. How fine Abu Zara’ is! He has suspended in my ears heavy ornaments and (fed me liberally) that my sinews and bones are covered with fat. So he made me happy. He found me among the shepherds living in the side of the mountain, and he made me the owner of the horses, camels and lands and heaps of grain and he finds no fault with me. I sleep and get up in the morning (at my own sweet will) and drink to my heart’s content. The mother of Abu Zara’, how fine is the mother of Abu Zara’! Her bundles are heavily packed (or receptacles in her house are filled to the brim) and the house quite spacious. So far as the son of Abu Zara’ is concerned, his bed is as soft as a green palm-stick drawn forth from its bark, or like a sword drawn forth from its scabbard, and whom just an arm of a lamb is enough to satiate. So far as the daughter of Abu Zara’ is concerned, how fine is the daughter of Abu Zara’, obedient to her father, obedient to her mother, wearing sufficient flesh and a source of jealousy for her co-wife. As for the slave-girl of Abu Zara’, how fine is she; she does not disclose our affairs to others (outside the four walls of the house). She does not remove our wheat, or provision, or take it forth, or squander it, but she preserves it faithfully (as a sacred trust). And she does not let the house fill with rubbish. One day Abu Zara’ went out (of his house) when the milk was churned in the vessels, that he met a woman, having two children like leopards playing with her pomegranates (chest) under her vest. He divorced me (Umm Zara’) and married that woman (whom Abu Zara’) met on the way. I (Umm Zara’) later on married another person, a chief, who was an expert rider, and a fine archer: he bestowed upon me many gifts and gave me one pair of every kind of animal and said: Umm Zara’, make use of everything (you need) and send forth to your parents (but the fact) is that even if I combine all the gifts that he bestowed upon me, they stand no comparison to the least gift of Abu Zara’. ‘A’isha reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to me: I am for you as Abu Zara’ was for Umm Zara’. This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Hisham b. ‘Urwa but with a slight variation of wording.

عَيَايَاءُ طَبَاقَاءُ كُلُّ دَاءٍ لَهُ دَاءٌ شَجَّكِ أَوْ فَلَّكِ أَوْ جَمَعَ كُلاًّ لَكِ . قَالَتِ الثَّامِنَةُ زَوْجِي الرِّيحُ رِيحُ زَرْنَبٍ وَالْمَسُّ مَسُّ أَرْنَبٍ . قَالَتِ التَّاسِعَةُ زَوْجِي رَفِيعُ الْعِمَادِ طَوِيلُ النِّجَادِ عَظِيمُ الرَّمَادِ قَرِيبُ الْبَيْتِ مِنَ النَّادِي . قَالَتِ الْعَاشِرَةُ زَوْجِي مَالِكٌ وَمَا مَالِكٌ مَالِكٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ ذَلِكِ لَهُ إِبِلٌ كَثِيرَاتُ الْمَبَارِكِ قَلِيلاَتُ الْمَسَارِحِ إِذَا سَمِعْنَ صَوْتَ الْمِزْهَرِ أَيْقَنَّ أَنَّهُنَّ هَوَالِكُ . قَالَتِ الْحَادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ زَوْجِي أَبُو زَرْعٍ فَمَا أَبُو زَرْعٍ أَنَاسَ مِنْ حُلِيٍّ أُذُنَىَّ وَمَلأَ مِنْ شَحْمٍ عَضُدَىَّ وَبَجَّحَنِي فَبَجِحَتْ إِلَىَّ نَفْسِي وَجَدَنِي فِي أَهْلِ غُنَيْمَةٍ بِشَقٍّ فَجَعَلَنِي فِي أَهْلِ صَهِيلٍ وَأَطِيطٍ وَدَائِسٍ وَمُنَقٍّ فَعِنْدَهُ أَقُولُ فَلاَ أُقَبَّحُ وَأَرْقُدُ فَأَتَصَبَّحُ وَأَشْرَبُ فَأَتَقَنَّحُ . أُمُّ أَبِي زَرْعٍ فَمَا أُمُّ أَبِي زَرْعٍ عُكُومُهَا رَدَاحٌ وَبَيْتُهَا فَسَاحٌ . ابْنُ أَبِي زَرْعٍ فَمَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَرْعٍ مَضْجِعُهُ كَمَسَلِّ شَطْبَةٍ وَيُشْبِعُهُ ذِرَاعُ الْجَفْرَةِ . بِنْتُ أَبِي زَرْعٍ فَمَا بِنْتُ أَبِي زَرْعٍ طَوْعُ أَبِيهَا وَطَوْعُ أُمِّهَا وَمِلْءُ كِسَائِهَا وَغَيْظُ جَارَتِهَا . جَارِيَةُ أَبِي زَرْعٍ فَمَا جَارِيَةُ أَبِي زَرْعٍ لاَ تَبُثُّ حَدِيثَنَا تَبْثِيثًا وَلاَ تُنَقِّثُ مِيرَتَنَا تَنْقِيثًا وَلاَ تَمْلأُ بَيْتَنَا تَعْشِيشًا . قَالَتْ خَرَجَ أَبُو زَرْعٍ وَالأَوْطَابُ تُمْخَضُ فَلَقِيَ امْرَأَةً مَعَهَا وَلَدَانِ لَهَا كَالْفَهْدَيْنِ يَلْعَبَانِ مِنْ تَحْتِ خَصْرِهَا بِرُمَّانَتَيْنِ فَطَلَّقَنِي وَنَكَحَهَا فَنَكَحْتُ بَعْدَهُ رَجُلاً سَرِيًّا رَكِبَ شَرِيًّا وَأَخَذَ خَطِّيًّا وَأَرَاحَ عَلَىَّ نَعَمًا ثَرِيًّا وَأَعْطَانِي مِنْ كُلِّ رَائِحَةٍ زَوْجًا . قَالَ كُلِي أُمَّ زَرْعٍ وَمِيرِي أَهْلَكِ
فَلَوْ جَمَعْتُ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَعْطَانِي مَا بَلَغَ أَصْغَرَ آنِيَةِ أَبِي زَرْعٍ . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ” كُنْتُ لَكِ كَأَبِي زَرْعٍ لأُمِّ زَرْعٍ
In the end of this hadith it is mentioned “‘A’isha reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to me: I am for you as Abu Zara’ was for Umm Zara’.
Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan copied couplets in praise of Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa Radi Allahu Ta’ala and he also copied seven couplets written regarding those eleven women mentioned in the above hadith. In between he wrote ‘ALHIDA’ ( DIFFERENT) so as to distinguish the couplets in praise of Sayyeda Ayesha with that of those eleven women mentioned in hadith.
The compiler and the publisher , knowingly or unknowingy , wrote few couplets written for those eleven women [ as mentioned in Hadith] along with couplets written in praise of Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa Rd. The book was published with this mistake. It was first pointed out by famous sunni scholar Allama Mushtaq Nizami [Rh], when he brought to notice to Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan about this mistake in a weekly newspaper published from Mumbai.
Mawlana Mehboob Ali Khan said that he did not write those couplets for Sayyeda Ayesha .Since it was due to his negligence and had no bad feeling or ego , he did his tawba ( repentance).This tawba was published from Mumbai and Lucknow.
In Lucknow it was published in monthly “ Sunni”, Zil Hajjah 1374 [ 1955 CE].
Commenting on this tawba ( repentance) Mufti Mazrullah writes
“ This was addressed to the editor of monthly “paasbaan” ( name of news paper), Allahabad,that today on 9th of Zil qaddah ,1374 , this humble servant accept his fault and carelessness and ask Allahu ta’ala to forgive me . Ameen”
After this he mentions the reason for his mistake . He writes;
“ The couplet dealing with Umm Zara had seven couplets which I divided into 3 sections as I could not get the remaining couplet under this topic. After each section I wrote ALHIDA ( other) to differentiate it from other section. Also the couplets dealing with praise of Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa [Rd] was mentioned in other section. Due to some reasons I could not arrange and edit this work and it was handed over to Nabah steam press, Patiala who took the responsibility of editing and publishing. After the book was published I found one of the couplet from section of Umm Zara into the section praising Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa [ Rd] . When the book was published and the error was pointed to me I thought I will correct this in the second edition of this book . I ask Allahu ta’ala to forgive me for my mistake and carelessness. Amin”

After this repentance ( tawba) was also published . It read as follows
Important Announcement ( zaroori elaan )
“Hadaiqe Bakhshish Vol 3 , page , 37 and 38 has been published with mistakes of couplets getting mixed ( Urdu: be tarteeb). This humble person ( faqir) has already published his tawba ( repentance) . May Allah accept this tawba. Ameen. I request all sunni muslim brothers to forgive me for the sake of Allah and His messenger. Ameen.

Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan did verbal and written tawba ( repentance) many times on his mistake and carelessness which was published in magazines , sunni lucknow and roznama inqilab , bombay on 10 July 1955 .

These deobandis accused Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan of showing disrespect to Sayyeda Ayesha Siddiqa and said that Mawlana is no longer suitable to lead congregational prayer in Masjid ( mosque). Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan did tawba many times. But did any of the Deobandi scholar ever repented for what they have written in Sirate Mustaqeem, Hifzul Iman , Fatwa Rashidiya or Barhain qatitya?
Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan was a true sunni. He did tawba for his carelessness . Did these Deobandis ever write against their own scholars who died and got mixed in soil [ as stated in taqwiyatul iman] without doing tawba?
“ Has the door of repentance closed? Mahboob Ali Khan did tawba ( repentance ) for his carelessness and lack of attention in getting the book published. His only mistake was that he did not check the final editing of the book and for this he has repented many times. If the Deobandi scholars were to learn from this then they would have declared their repentance from the writings of Hifzul Iman , Tahdhir Al Naaas and Barhain Qatia . But instead of this they published posters stating “ repentance not accepted ‘ [ Tawba qubool Nahee] . The newpaper ‘ roz nama Mumbai” should have congratulated Mawlana Mahboob Ali Khan for his step and deobandis should have learnt from him ”

If some one wants to know the detail of this incidence, then he should go through“ Faisala muqaadas shariah quraniyah” . This book consists of fifty eight pages . One hundred and nineteen scholars of Ahlus sunnah signed on the tawba of Mahbobb Ali Khan . They agreed that now Mahboob Ali Khan has repented from his carelessness and as per shariah this has to be accepted. The scholars who signed this include ;
Sayed Ashrafi, Mufti Mazaharullah, Mustafa Raza Khan, Zafruddin Bihari, Abdul Baqi.

This is clear that this error took place due to carelessness of Mawlana Mahbbob Ali. Due to this error the deobandis asked him to quit the post of Imam ( prayer leader) in Masjid ( mosque). Mawlana Mehboob Ali did verbal and written tawba.
It should be kept in mind that Imam Ahmed Raza Khan died in 1340 Ah and this book Hadaiqe Bakhshis vol 3 was published in 1342 AH.
Imam Ahmed Raza khan is no where associated with this . But those who have no fear of Allah and those who have shown disrespect to prophet try to confuse general muslim population by bringing the name of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan in it .
Just recall the comments made by Deobandis

TRUTH
Hadaique bakhshih vol 3 was published after the death of Imam Ahmed Raza. He is no way connected with its error.
The person who did tawba and tajdeed e iman was Mawlana Mahboob Ali.
Analysis . This is sufficient to show how much hatred deobandis have for scholars of Ahlus sunnah , that they use lie to attack sunni scholars.

This deobandi friend now knows that no one wrote these things for Ayesha Siddiqa Rd. But he does know that Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanvi said that the knowledge of unseen possessed by prophet is like (aysa) knowledge possessed by lunatics, insane , any tom and harry , and any four legged animal [ Hifzul Iman]
We pray that these whabis read the truth and ask Allah to guide them on the staright path. Ameen
