Grave Marking in Deoband

Mawlana Zakariya Kandhalvee, writes in ” Tareekh Mashaykh Chist” that after his Spritual Guide , Shaykh Noor mohammed Jhanjhanvee ( Jhanjhana is a town in India) died , he ( Mawlana Zakariya ) has put a stone over the head of the grave ,the poetry written on it is as follows

” Shahar Jhanjana hai ek jae huda
maskan wa mawa hai jis ka aapka”

mawla paak aapka hai aur mazaar
is jagah tu jaan ley ay hoshiyaar”

is jagah hai markade paak janaab
sar jhukaate hain sab shaykh wa shahab’

jisko ho shawk deedarey khuda
unakey marqad ki ziyarat ko wo jaa’

dekhatey hee usakey mujhkao hai yaqeen
usako ho deedare rabbil aalamee’

TRANSLATION

Rough translation of last 3 couplets

“this is a holy place
every one bown his head here

the one who wants to have the vision of Rab ( khuda)
he should go to his ( noor mohammed’s) grave

The moment I see ( visitor) there
I am sure he will have the vision of Rab.

I would like to share this , that Mawlana Ismaeel Dehalvee ( founder and fore father of Deobandism) said in his book ” Taqwiyatul Iman” that to travel to any grave for visiting is SHIRK.
